I know how overwhelming it becomes when you step foot into a library and you just don't know which book to read. When you enter a bookstore and the treasures that it keeps within it's shelves are just so pleasing to look at but when you have to take all the trouble to choose one that is exactly when the challenge begins. I know 'cause I've been there too. so here I am to your rescue. I promise you after reading this your selection will certainly not be the problem. So here is a list of books that teens should give a read before growing up.

1. Anne Frank: The diary of a young girl

- Anne Frank

This book is one of my personal favs. It is a book about a sweet , young teenager who goes into hiding with her family and a few more Jews in order to save their lives from the Nazis during the time of World War I. She describes how her life had changed after going into hiding , the problems faced by the Jews at that time , their living conditions and her relations with the fellow Jews hiding with them as well as her relations with her family. It is a must read book describing the complexity of thoughts that revolve around the mind of young girls.

2. The Harry Potter series

- J.K. Rowling

Now this series is for all magic and fiction lovers. It introduces the readers to a whole new world of fantasy and magic. Harry Potter is an orphan who happens to posses magical powers and is raised by his aunt and uncle who happen to loathe his presence. When he turns 11, a surprising visit of a giant changes his life!! He is introduced the the world of magic. he learns magic under the supervision of the most powerful wizard of all times in his school - Hogwarts. He gets to know that he is the chosen one who can kill the most evil wizard of the magical world and save the world from any further harm. He learns how his parents were murdered, how he ended up with no family. He gets one thing from that magical world that he never had - a family. He makes friends for life and the series definitely teaches important life lessons plus is fun to read. This series is filled with a lot of adventure, drama and is perfect for teenagers. Once you pick up that book it will be hard to put it down!!
